I am tuckered! I cleaned every room in the house, along with moped all the floors (including the stairs) and am on my final load of wash. I managed to do a quick grocery shop, where I saved $40, and prepared a yummy salad for a light dinner. Bart and I are now watching the Yankees/Boston game, rooting for opposite teams :) I think I will sleep well tonight, working all day tomorrow (10-7) but thankful for Monday and Tuesday off with my babe and friends. Well, two posts in one day is enough me thinks, have a good weekend all.

My day off after working ten hours the night before and I am up with plenty of energy (thanks to my dark magic k cups) and I can't seem to figure out where to begin! I am  VERY displeased to find out that one of my grocery stores weekly sales ended yesterday! I had some great coupons to go with some of the items on sale, including FREE Tide Stain Release, $2 Febreze starter kits and $1 Glade solid air fresheners. Errr, I suppose I need to read carefully the start/end dates. On a better note, I managed to score a (orginially) $5 PawSafe floor cleaner last night at work for $.35 thanks to a coupon I spotted while closing :) I absolutely recommend these products for parents &/or pet parents. You can feel assured that your baby and pets won't get sick after moping the floor or cleaning off their toys, and they smell great!

I have tons of cleaning and laundry to do today before Wade & Britney come in town tomorrow. I have to hit up our local recycling center to drop off some cardboard and bottles and go to the grocery store.  I was also planning on a quick trip to the mall to get my husbands hair cut and go to Victorias Secret to use my $10 off any purchase coupon. Free body spray sounds good to me :)

With the ever-growing, oh so popular show, "Extreme Couponing" on TLC, I have too, like some of you out there, have taken an interest on using coupons as often as possible, and trying to tract my savings.(Although I'm awful at hanging on to my receipt for more than a day) I have to say it is quite addicting, checking weekly circulars, spotting coupons a mile away, and that instant high I get while shopping, coming home to see all the stuff I got, and laying it out to neatly organize. I feel so proud.
So, heres my last weeks CVS shopping trip. With the help of moneysavingmom.com I am able to check out this weeks sales, and get a coupon matchup.

 Unfortunately, I don't have my receipt so I can't tell you my original price, and the percentage of savings, but I can say I only spent $36 for all this.

All is well for the Cardea's. Working tons, equally me and the hubster. This month has a few exciting things happening which I did not plan on. Next week my husband has his friend coming in town, along with his girlfriend, who will stay a night or two with us. My husband and his friend are working on a music project together, a continuation of District 21. (my husband started this years ago while we were dating, in which he wrote "the miss smith" for me, which he actually just re-did) I believe they will be taking some promo shots in the city, but, I really want to take them to Deninos and Ralphs Ice! Two of the most visited and famous places to eat on the island!

Then, in a few weeks, some girls and I from work will be going to 6 flags! How exciting , right?! I've never been, and to share it with some awesome friends I've met up here, is just so exciting. Also, hopefully sometime soon I will be able to get my next tattoo(s). I want two super girly bows on the backs of my arms, with the little frilly ribbon flowing down. With Bart doing so well at Verizon, and his commission checks, I hope I can get them soon!

I am the worst blogger ever!


The weather lately has been making me happy, with the exception of today. I am ready for summer, and not working as much, and getting in the sun more. I need more spring/summer clothes, none of mine fit me anymore, I suppose I've gained weight since last year.

So in case any of you were wondering, I have put everythingsalive on hold the last few months. In fact, I'm almost positive the Christmas stuff is still up there. I need to get back on track with that. I've been working so much lately, that when I'm not at work I'm a legit couch potato.

Bart and I have been really trying to make it a point to have a date night every week, we just started having them again a few weeks ago. It's so important to get out and have the time together. Especially for me, I walk to work and when I'm not there I just sit at home. My car is back in Virginia and I don't have many friends here, so I think its for my sanity too for me to get out once a week.

I have so much to blog about but I am really not feeling well today, I almost collapsed in the shower today, and have just been lethargic since then. I think I'm going to try and make a doctors appointment this weekend to see whats wrong with me. It's happened a few times before, I'll get so lightheaded and dizzy, I think it's about time I see someone about it, so we'll see.
